WerkMaster™ MOHS Hardness Scale Test Kit is an excellent test method for determining the hardness of concrete, enabling you to choose the correct Diamond Abrasive Bond.

Knowing the hardness of concrete will help you increase productivity, reduce tool wear and improve shine.

The hardness of diamonds is #10 on the MOHS’ scale, which is very hard. All concrete in the world is softer than #10. Therefore, the MOH Hardness Test Kit comes with Pick Tips that are numbered from #3 (soft) to #9 (hard).

Most concrete within the US is between #5 to #7. However, some areas may be harder or softer than the average. Even if you live in an area where most concrete may be Medium Soft, without the MOHS Hardness Test Kit, you will be unable to tell for sure the hardness of the concrete without actually testing it.

Before you begin any concrete restoration job, you need to know the hardness of the concrete, so that you can pick the correct tooling for the machine. Knowing the hardness of the concrete will also enable you to perform more accurate quotes for the customer.

When you are confident on how hard the concrete is, the MOH Hardness Test Kit saves you money by not having to redo a job due to improper tool selection at the beginning of the project.

Everyone should have this inexpensive and very useful kit in their arsenal of tools!
