Silicon Carbide Wheels & Cutters

Silicon Carbide cup wheels can fracture and rapidly decompose if they are dropped, cracked, or abused.  It is essential to store and handle them properly.

Full face shield required when using Silicon Carbide cup wheels.

Cup wheels are designed to be used in specific application and in specific ways.

2" x 2" or 3" x 3" are side grinding wheels. These are used on the sides to true bowl holes and other cuts.

4" x 2" or 5" x 2" cup wheels are to be used for face grinding only. These wheels are preferred for shaping and pre-beveling or pre-shaping the stone. They can be used wet or dry at the proper RPM.

Note: Silicon cup wheels should only be used as manufacturer recommendation specify. Any misuse or failure to do so can result in great bodily harm.
